Privacy Policy
The short version: we couldn’t collect your data even if we wanted to — there is no server to send it to.
What we don’t collect
afasttest.com is a fully static website. There is no backend, no database and no user accounts. We use no cookies, no analytics and no advertising, and we set no identifiers of any kind.
We therefore collect no personal data — not your IP address, not your location, not your test results.
What happens when you run a test
Your browser exchanges data directly with Cloudflare’s measurement endpoints (speed.cloudflare.com) to measure your connection. This traffic is necessary to perform the measurement and is handled by Cloudflare under their own privacy policy — the same as when you visit any of the millions of sites on their network.
What you see on screen stays on screen
The details shown in your results — your IP address, provider (ASN), approximate city and the datacenter that served the test — are read by your browser from the test server’s responses and rendered locally. They are never transmitted to us, logged, or stored anywhere by this site.
Data stored on your device
Your test history is saved only in your browser’s local storage so you can compare results over time. It never leaves your device. Use “Clear history” on the results screen (or clear your browser data) to delete it at any time.
Sharing features
Share cards and share links are generated entirely on your device. A share link encodes only the numbers of that result — no IP address, no location, no identifiers.
Hosting
The site’s static files are delivered by our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages). Like any web host, the provider processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to operate and secure the service, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not receive this data.
Children
The site collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example if we add privacy-friendly analytics or advertising in the future — this page will be updated before the change takes effect, and the date above will reflect the revision.
